Speaking of the PS4 specifically, Santa Monica Studio said that God of War Ragnarok will be its best last-gen game, so if you haven’t managed to get a hold of a PS5, don’t worry, you’re not getting an inferior product. It is a chunky game regardless, but given the visuals and cinematics packed into it, these sizes are hardly a surprise. On the PS4, God of War Ragnarok is a whopping 106 GB and on the PS5, it’s 85 GB, thanks to the console’s compression technology. Nevertheless, today (November 2nd) is the date you can begin downloading so rest assured, you’ll get to it at some point today, if you can’t already. If, for some reason, you’re unable to pre-load then stay put as Sony may have staggered the rollout, starting with Australia and New Zealand, who are well ahead of the rest of the world.
As promised, God of War Ragnarok preload is now live on both the PS4 and PS5.
